Fees structure at St Patrick's for Academic year 2012 - 2013

I don't have the complete information on the fees structure for the academic year 2012-2013, but here is some information I found:

1. The one time maintenance fees (admission fees) is increased from Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000. This is paid only during admission and not paid every year after.

2. Total fees for 1st standard (new admission) is Rs 50790, which include the 20K admission fees. So, the yearly fees for 1st standard is Rs 30,790.

3. Total fees for nursery (new admission) is Rs 44,450, which include the 20K admission fees. So, the yearly fees for nursery is Rs 24,450.

By looking at various numbers above, I can conclude that the yearly fees increases by about Rs 4,000 to Rs 5,000 every year. This is very reasonable. My sister's kid goes to Freedom International School where they significantly increased the admission fees and tuition fees this year. St Patrick's Academy still offers great, value based, quality education at very reasonable cost. But the sad part of this is, this school is becoming a destination for people who just look for low cost education and not the best education, which is not probably the management wanted to achieve by low the fees. I am hearing from many people that if you don't want to spend much money, just go to St Patrick's! The admission process is very transparent and nursery/LKG admission is first come first served basis, according to the Government instructions.

DISCLAIMER: Everything mentioned in this blog is my opinion and is based on the information I gathered from the school. I have no association with the school other than my kids study there.
