Google lies on the status of Google Docs service

Today I was trying to access the Google Docs and found the service is dead. In this post, I will talk about the service interruptions for Google Docs today.

I was trying to open a Google Doc today and found the service is down. Well, I am using a free service from Google and have no rights to complain. Understood. But I still wanted to go ahead and check the status of Google services since service interruption is not very common with Google.

You can check the status of Google Apps online. Surprisingly, Google reported that all Google services are up and running including Google Docs, even though there were about 30 minutes service disruption today for Google Docs. Also, the GMail experienced problems for a pretty long time, according to the service status report.

Here is the message I see if I go to Google Docs now:

The above image shows the screen I get if I go to Google Docs url.

However, if I look at the status of Google Apps, it indicates all services are running fine currently. Here is the screenshot of Google Apps status:

This is applicable only for personal accounts. If you login to the premium Google Apps account, all services seem to be working fine. I tried to login to my premium Google Apps account. The issues did not happen on the premium account. I was able to use Google Docs.
