Compare Aakash 1 and Aakash 2: Find differences

Aakash 2 is a major upgrade to the original lowest cost Aakash tablet PC.

Some of the major differences include:

Aakash 1 uses Android 2.2 but Aakash 2 might include the latest Android 2.3 version (Gingerbread)

Faster Processor: Aakash 2 has a faster processor (800 MHz) compared to the 366 MHz processor used in original Aakash tablet PC.

Another difference is the memory. The old version comes with only 256 Mb RAM. But the Aakash 2 comes with a significant improvement - 1Gb RAM.

Aakash 2 has a higher battery life. Old version had only 3 hour battery life, but Aakash 2 will have 5 hour battery life.

Aakash 2 comes with a front facing camera.

Another significant improvement is on the screen. Aakash 2 will have a much better touch screen.

Even with significant improvements, if you compare Aakash tablet PC with Ubislate 7, you will find that Aakash 2 still lack a lot of features like GPRS internet connectivity and so on.
