Features, Components, tools - Windows


In this article, I am going to share about the windows and its features, components and tools. Windows was the basic and important in computer generation. That turned around the world into new things. That was the stepping stone for the new features which are at the present generation.

Windows


Windows operating system is released by Microsoft. Microsoft has released this software in two versions. One is Windows XP Home and another is Windows XP Professional. Windows XP home is designed for home user or for small business purpose. Windows XP Professional is specifically designed for advanced work which is in large company.

Features and Advantages
• Windows XP provides a complete redesigned interface.
• It provides more security tool that helps to keep the system more secure.
• It makes the system to run more efficiently.
• It makes it easier to view and work with files and folders.
• It provides an efficient help and support with new features.
• It gives more reliable environment when a user uses this operating system.
• Any type of software or hardware can be installing in it and it supports much software than other operating system.
• The operating system provides many facilities to the user than other so it is very popular among user.
• It is a graphical based operating system so background can be changed of its own desire.

Microsoft Office


Most of the computer user uses MS Office to create and edit the text document, creating slides or Presentation. Microsoft Office is suite which is released by the Microsoft for the user to easily create documents, slides, presentation and so on. There are many components of Microsoft Office and they are having various features. Microsoft made easy to work on files to the user's convenience.

Microsoft Word
This is the most common in the Microsoft office suite which is used to create the documents. In this component spreadsheet can also be created easily. MS Word does not only provide to an easy way to create document, reports etc, but also helps in saving the web pages or the E-mails. There were menus, tool bars, task bars are there in word. Some other sub-menus like File, Edit, View, Insert, Format, Tool , Table, window, Help and each menu contains command for an appropriate function . New document can be created by simply opening the MS Word page and then click file and click new. The new page will be opened. After the document created, just save the file by using any name.

Microsoft Excel
For doing common mathematical calculations, creating result report or spreadsheet, MS Excel is the better option for these purpose. MS excel is a spreadsheet based program. Charts can be created easily by this program and it can be saved. It is easy to learn program and it saves a lot of time of the user. The best feature of this program is that the files can be saved and protected by creating password in that. Like MS word it is also having menu bare and Tool bars and it always gives error free calculations.

Microsoft PowerPoint
Power point is easy to make presentation which can able to create slides and makes presentation. It is also a common part of MS Office suite. Creating presentation is easier for project works and document purpose. Learning and teaching power point is easier for any sort of aged peoples. These presentations can be shown through projectors. It also has same features like word and Excel and having menus and tool bars while creating a slide.

Microsoft Outlook
This outlook is specially created by the Microsoft for the internet purposes. It makes anyone to send E-mail to different places using web. It is easy to learn and use. It saves time of sending and receiving the data.

Graphics


The graphics in multimedia makes the data or the concept more presentable, beautiful, attractive and effective. The multimedia data are all based on the graphics. If we add a graphical element in any document makes its more presentable. Some of the most used software for viewing the graphical element is windows pictures, Internet Explorer etc.

Types of Graphics
There are mainly two types of graphics used at present. Raster and Vector are the two types of graphics. Raster images are all based on pixels like bitmap images. The Vector graphics are based on mathematical formulas etc. T type of graphics is associated with drawing etc things.

Formatting the Graphics
Graphic files can be saved in different formats because of the dependence on clarity or the good effect. The most common example can be given of graphics is on the internet where the graphical files or elements are saved with (.gif) extension and the text document are saved with .txt extension.

Graphics Editing Tools
Graphics can be changed or developed by some editing by tool like image editing tool in which there is a creation of editing of image can be done. The most common example for image editing software is Photoshop, Coral Draw, etc. These are used for editing or creating effects in the images as per desire. Any type of image can be edit by this software. The background effects can be change or given by these software.
